Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) is built aside the KLIA and it is consider as the new centre of the low-cost carrier terminal (LCCT).
The creation of the KLIA2 is allowing 2 aircraft to land at the same time and the KLIA2 owned the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) by Malaysia Airports Holding Bhd. Also, KLIA2 has a 3 runway systems, the first of its kind in a low-cost carrier terminal in South-East Asia.
Also, ATCT is now claimed the tallest air control tower in the world with 141.9m above sea level, surpassing the Survarnabhumi International Airport ATCT Bangkok with the height of 130.3m.
While opening the news, KLIA2 is now the main focus of our country. According to the news, KLIA2 was being approved and got the international standards by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
Why I choose this news and wrote it in my blog? This is because I found that this news is interesting and it should be opened earlier. This new KLIA2 is opening on the coming May 2. As an oversea students, I will soon to use this new airport.
Before the KLIA2 is using, I found that the differences between the KLIA and the LCCT is huge. KLIA is so classed but if compare with KLIA, LCCT really seem like the low cost internal airport.
I haven't used and haven't been to KLIA2 yet, but my expectation toward the KLIA2 is high. My semester will ended at the end of June and I will fly back to Kuala Lumpur by using KLIA2. Hope the new airport could bring the different experience to me during my landing at the KLIA2.
